Networking® Magazine’s Annual David Awards Breakfast will be held January 21, 2016
It’s about the spirit of giving!
For each of the past fifteen years, every January Networking® magazine has honored eight exceptional men — ”Renaissance Men” who have performed generous and unselfish acts for the benefit of us all. The David Awards are named for David, the giant slayer, who represents the Renaissance Ideal Man memorialized by Michelangelo’s famous 16th century statue of David. Each of our honorees has been a true Renaissance man having excelled in business or academics and also accomplished outstanding heroic and humanitarian acts.
The proceeds of Networking® magazine’s David Awards have enabled us to give over $130,000 to key non-profit service organizations throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties. Recipients of partial proceeds include: Little Flower Children’s Services (2002), Visiting Nurse Association of Long Island (2003), Christa House, The Jerry Hartman Residence (2004), Family Counseling Service (2005), Family and Children’s Association: The Nursery Co-op located in the Hagedorn Family Resource Center (2006), The Long Island Housing Partnership for the Ecke Avenue Development in cooperation with Habitat For Humanity and the Town of Brookhaven (2007), The Stephanie Joyce Kahn Foundation (SJK) Listening Therapy Program (2008), Literacy Suffolk, Inc. (2009), Bethany House (2010), and Hempstead Boys & Girls Club, Inc. (2011), East End Hospice (2012), The Evan R. Liblit Memorial Scholarship Fund of the Waste Reduction & Management Institute in the School of Marine & Atmospheric Sciences, Stony Brook University (2013), EAC Network–Children’s Programs (2014), and Suffolk County Coalition Against Domestic Violence (2015).
Join us at what has become for Long Island leaders the kick-off networking event for the new business year.
